Privacy policy
Grow Time keeps your tasks and goals in sync and helps you work with teammates. Your information is used to run these features, not for advertising or tracking you across other apps. This policy explains what is saved, what stays on your device, and what happens when you request an AI summary. Grow Time is provided by Aviad Ben Dov.
Effective date: 5 October 2026
Information used to provide Grow Time
- Account information. Sign in with Apple supplies an account identifier and, when you choose to share them, your name and email address. The service saves that name and email address when supplied, together with your account identifier. This is a sign-in email address, not access to your mailbox. Session records, hashed session tokens and an encrypted Apple authorization token keep sign-in secure.
- Your work. Goals, tasks, due dates, tags, comments and their status are stored on your device and synced to the Grow Time service with your account. Team connections and delegation records let the service apply sharing permissions.
- Context settings. Context settings you save sync with your account: named places and their coordinates and radius, identifiers for selected contacts, and Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth device names. The service does not receive your full address book or a continuous record of where you go. Live location matching, calendar access and contact lookup run on your device with the relevant permissions. Information you choose to write in tasks or comments is part of that synced content.
- Notifications. The service stores Apple push-notification tokens linked to your account so it can send collaboration updates, along with queued notification messages and delivery records. Notification previews, widgets and Live Activities may show task information on your screen.
- Subscriptions and usage. Apple handles purchases and payment details. When you request an AI summary, Grow Time checks a signed proof of your Grow Time subscription with Apple. The current service does not save that proof or a purchase-history record in its database. It saves a daily summary-request count and a short-lived processing lock for your account to enforce usage limits. We do not receive your payment-card details or purchase history from other apps or stores.
- Support and service operation. If you contact support, we receive the information you send. Hosting providers process network information such as IP addresses, and service error records may be kept to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service. Local app diagnostics remain on the device unless you choose to share them.
Optional usage statistics
Grow Time uses TelemetryDeck for optional usage statistics, enabled by default. When enabled, we send feature actions, approximate counts of contexts and tasks, subscription purchase outcomes, app and operating-system versions, and language and region settings (including layout direction). A random identifier lets us measure repeat usage on this installation. These statistics do not include context names or their hashes, task or goal text, comments, summaries, contact details, precise locations, network names, account identifiers, receipts or transaction identifiers. You can turn usage statistics off in Account > Privacy or the summary Privacy screen. This stops future uploads, discards pending uploads and resets local analytics history; statistics already sent remain with TelemetryDeck. Summary generation has its own separate content-transfer explanation and consent.
Feedback
Feedback submissions are stored with the signed-in Grow Time account, message category, and optional app/device details. They are visible only in the developer's private dashboard. Deleting the account removes its feedback from the active service database. Drafts remain on the device until sent or discarded. The dashboard is hosted through OpenAI Sites; feedback opened by the developer is processed there for display.
Sharing with teammates
Messages and comments means only content created inside Grow Time. Grow Time does not access your iMessage, SMS, email inboxes or conversations in other apps.
Delegated task information and comments you mark as shared are available to the relevant teammate. Private comments are not shown to teammates, but they are stored by the service for your account. Removing a teammate ends the connection and active delegations; shared history or copies already received by another person may remain available to them.
Optional AI summaries
When you explicitly choose Generate Summary, selected task titles, dates, tags, goal titles and included comments are sent through the Grow Time service to OpenAI to produce your summary. This can include private comments in your selection. Do not include information you do not want processed by that provider.
The Grow Time summary service returns the result without saving the input or report as a summary record. Reports you save in the app are stored locally. Requests to OpenAI disable response storage, but this does not eliminate provider security or abuse-monitoring retention. OpenAI may retain API content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days by default, or longer where legally required. See OpenAI’s API data controls.
Why we use information
We use information to provide sync and collaboration, match your configured contexts, deliver notifications and requested summaries, verify subscriptions, answer support requests, and protect the service. Grow Time does not use your data for targeted advertising, sell personal information, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising.
Service providers and international processing
DigitalOcean hosts Grow Time’s connected service and database. Apple provides sign-in, purchases, push notifications and applicable iCloud services. OpenAI processes optional summary requests. Information may be processed outside your country by these providers. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users and the service.
Retention and deletion
Account and synced content are retained to provide your account and its features. Deleting an item from the app may leave server deletion records or recovery copies; it does not necessarily erase every stored copy immediately. Support correspondence, operational records and provider backups may be retained for support, security, recovery or legal needs. Sync records also include record identifiers, revisions and operation results to avoid duplicate updates.
In the App Store release, Account > Delete Account removes your server account and account-owned synced data and clears the app’s local data. Tasks owned by teammates, exports and older iCloud copies are separate. You can also request access, correction or deletion of your information by contacting [email protected]. We may verify your identity before acting. We will explain any information we must retain. Account or app deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage it separately in your App Store account.
Your choices and rights
You can change permissions in iOS Settings, choose which comments to share, manage teammates, and choose whether to generate AI summaries. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, or restrict or object to processing of your personal information, withdraw consent where it applies, and complain to your local data-protection authority.
Where applicable, processing is based on providing the service you request, your consent for optional features, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or legal obligations.
Children
Grow Time is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and address it.
These pages and policy updates
These support pages use no advertising or analytics scripts and set no application cookies. The hosting provider still processes ordinary web-request information. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
